Dr. Jared Sies provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, with clinical interests spanning both routine vision correction and medical eye disease management. His areas of expertise include comprehensive eye exams, refraction, contact lenses, dry eye management, glaucoma care, diabetic retinopathy monitoring, pre- and post-op evaluations, including pediatric care, vision therapy, and low vision services. With a strong foundation in optical fabrication and patient education, Dr. Sies brings a uniquely well-rounded approach to care, bridging clinical precision with practical, tailored patient solutions.

Education and Medical Training

Dr. Sies grew up in a small town in central Illinois, where his early exposure to visual impairment through his mother’s work as a social worker at the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired sparked his interest in eye care and advocacy for patients with special visual needs.

He began his optometric career in 2010, working in lens manufacturing and optical services, gaining hands-on experience in eyewear production, surface lens edging, and optical sales. He later pursued his formal education at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, where he pursued his undergraduate degree and was recognized by the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Dr. Sies went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry, graduating with the Class of 2023. During his training, he also participated in optometric research as a student researcher under Dr. Jeffrey Rabin.

Personal Interests
