Dr. Jay Bradley, MD, a distinguished Corneal and External Disease specialist, has made a prominent impact in the field of ophthalmology. As one of Lubbock’s exclusive fellowship-trained refractive specialists alongside Dr. Khater, Dr. Bradley has provided specialized expertise in cornea, external disease, cataract, and refractive surgery.

Dr. Bradley’s educational journey is a testament to his commitment to excellence. He began his medical career at Texas Tech University School of Medicine, graduating in 2003. His early achievements paved the way for entry into the esteemed field of ophthalmology, where he completed his residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, in 2007.

The pursuit of specialized knowledge led Dr. Bradley to the University of California-Davis, where he completed a Fellowship in Cornea & External Disease & Refractive Surgery in 2008. Under the mentorship of renowned figures such as Mark J. Mannis, MD; Ivan R. Schwab, MD; Vahid Feiz, MD; and Mark I. Rosenblatt, MD, Dr. Bradley honed his skills in the intricate domains of cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery.

Dr. Bradley’s also has been marked by many academic and professional achievements. He entered Texas Tech University School of Medicine via the Early Admission Program through the Honors College, earning membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. His Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Texas Tech University, attained Magna Cum Laude in Honors Studies, underscores his early commitment to academic excellence.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bradley has held notable academic appointments, including serving as an Assistant Professor in Cornea, External Disease, Cataract & Refractive Surgery at the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, from August 2008 to August 2011.

A dedicated researcher and contributor to the ophthalmic community, Dr. Bradley has been associated with prestigious organizations such as the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Research to Prevent Blindness Foundation, The Cornea Society, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
