This residency program was rated as one of the country's 10 best by Ophthalmology

Dr. Khater did his fellowhip training at The

Cullen Eye Institute.
He is Lubbock's only ophthalmologist who is
fellowship trained in refractive surgery (laser vision correction), cataract
surgery, and corneal surgery and external diseases, as
indicated on the diploma.

Dr. Khater is board certified
by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
The intent of the certification process of the American
Board of Ophthalmology is to provide assurance to the public and to the
medical profession that a certified physician has successfully completed an
accredited course of education in ophthalmology and an evaluation including a
written and an oral examination.
