Tim Khater,
MD, PhD

Dr. Khater is a fellowship trained Corneal and External Disease specialist. Additionally, Dr. Khater and Dr. Bradley, are Lubbock's ONLY fellowship trained refractive specialists (such as laser vision correction). Finally, Dr. Khater is Lubbock's ONLY fellowship trained cataract specialists.
Dr. Khater did his residency and fellowship training at The
Baylor College of Medicine
Cullen Eye Institute.
This residency program was rated as one of the country's 10 best by Ophthalmology Times October 15, 2000 issue (volume 25, Number 20).
Dr. Khater did his fellowhip training at The
Baylor College of Medicine
Cullen Eye Institute.
He and Dr. Bradley are Lubbock's only ophthalmologists who are fellowship trained in refractive surgery (laser vision correction) Dr. Khater is also fellowship trained in cataract surgery, and corneal surgery and external diseases, as indicated on the diploma.
Dr. Khater is board
certified
by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
The intent of the certification process of the American
Board of Ophthalmology is to provide assurance to the public and to the
medical profession that a certified physician has successfully completed an
accredited course of education in ophthalmology and an evaluation including a
written and an oral examination.
